Stay Legal With The Proper Daytona Beach Automobile Insurance

Personal Injury Protection, also known as PIP, and Property Damage Liability, often referred to as PDL are two types of insurance coverage that must be obtained by any Daytona Beach driver needing to register their vehicle in Volusia County, Florida. At the very least, the minimum coverage, which is $10,000 for PIP and $10,000 for PDL must be obtained through an insurance company licensed by the Florida Department of Financial Services.

A Traffic Ticket Can Hurt Your Daytona Beach Premium Rate

Receiving a moving violation in Volusia County will cause points to be assessed to your Florida driving record. As a result, your insurance premiums may go up, or your coverage could be canceled altogether. Without PIP/PDL insurance coverage, the FL DHSMV can suspend your driving privileges. To keep those points off your record and your license intact, eligible drivers can take a traffic school course approved for Port Orange, Ormond Beach, New Smyrna Beach, Mims, and Edgewater. Also, some insurance companies will offer a discount to drivers that attend a DHSMV Approved Driver Improvement or Mature Driver course.
