What Is DATA?

DATA, also known as the Drug Alcohol Traffic Awareness course, which was designed to teach students attending Homestead Senior High School, South Dade Senior High School, Corporate Academy South, Colonial Christian School, and Redland Christian Academy all they need to know to become a safe driver by educating them on driving techniques, safety rules, Miami-Dade County laws and regulations, as well as the effects drugs and alcohol could have on their ability to drive.

Florida Course For First Time Drivers (D.A.T.A.)

Enroll in the DriversEdDirect.com four-hour class from the privacy of your own Homestead home and complete it at your convenience. This From Home course will allow you to learn about how alcohol and other drugs affect your ability to drive, FL laws and responsibilities, safe driving techniques, and how to increase your awareness on Miami-Dade County roadways. This is the perfect D.A.T.A. course for teens attending Homestead Senior High School, South Dade Senior High School, Corporate Academy South, Colonial Christian School, and Redland Christian Academy. After completing the online course, you will be prepared to take your FL drivers license written exam online or at your local Florida DHSMV office, serving the cities of Leisure City, Richmond West, Cutler Ridge, The Crossings, Kendale Lakes, Sunset, Olympia Heights, and Pinecrest.

Completed the Course. Now What?

What happens after I complete the DATA course? Your information will automatically be reported to the DMV. You will receive a copy of your completion certificate for your own records but you do not need to bring this with you to the DMV.

  • Complete your Florida DHSMV written permit exam
  • Pass a vision and hearing test, and give your thumb print
