I pledge to set an example by never driving drunk. I know to call a cab, call a friend, or stay the night at a friends if I've been drinking. I also promise to never take a ride from someone else who has been drinking or doing drugs. I pledge to never let a true friend drive drunk. I know they'll thank me for it in the morning. I pledge to drive distraction free. I know to pull over when I need to use my phone and stay focused when my friends are in the car. I pledge to drive at safe speeds. I know that speeding is one of the main causes of car accidents, and that racing often ends with someone dead. I pledge to know the REALITY when it comes to driving. I acknowledge that: • Motor vehicle accidents are the leading cause of teenage deaths. • 40% of all traffic fatalities are alcohol related. • Speeding is a major cause of teenage car accidents and deaths. • Driving distracted drastically increases my chances of being in an accident. I pledge to not only Respect Reality, but to help Change Reality. I know that by setting good examples for my friends I can truly make a difference. You're almost done!
